Embedding a YouTube Video in your Blackboard Course
Step 1: Log into the LLCC Blackboard System (http://blackboard.llcc.edu)
Step 2: Navigate to the area in your Blackboard course where you want to embed the video.
Step 3: Add an item to this area. • Go to Build Content and select Create > Item • Give the item a name.
Step 4: In the Text section, look down in your text box options. On the upper right-hand side, click the button titled Show More. Click the Insert/Edit Embedded Media button. A window should appear.
Step 5: Minimize the web browser and access YouTube (http://www.youtube.com) in a new web browser window (or tab).
Step 6: Once you find the YouTube video you wish to embed, click the Share link directly under the video. Copy the URL of the video you wish to embed.
Step 7: Minimize the browser window (or tab) and go back to the window containing your Blackboard course.
Step 8: Paste the URL into the File/URL text box. Click the Insert button in the lower right corner when ready.
Step 9: You should see a widget placeholder where your video has been inserted. When you are ready, click the Submit button at the top or bottom of the page.
Step 10: Test your video! You and your students should now be able to view your video within your Blackboard course using the Play controls in the bottom left‐hand corner of the play window or in the middle of the video.
